A partnership between Portland’s Circle Media Labs Inc. and networking company Netgear Inc. could dramatically increase the Portland startup’s reach almost overnight.

Circle’s technology — sold as Circle with Disney — will now be available on two of Netgear’s home networking devices. Those buying two of Netgear’s popular routers — the Orbi Tri-Band Home WiFi System and Nighthawk Smart WiFi Routers — can use Circle’s Internet monitoring and management software. Users had previously needed to buy Circle devices to use with the software application.

While Netgear doesn’t release the number of installed devices, it told analysts last quarter it sold 1.9 million router and gateway units in its most recent quarter.
