Six entrepreneurs looking to carve out their place in the consumer goods industry were selected last week as finalists for the In the Running pitch competition.
The competition, hosted by Prosper Portland and the Oregon Angel Fund, will give the finalists a chance to compete for an opportunity to pitch at an OAF meeting in January and potentially receive angel funds. Finalists will have three minutes to pitch their business and audience members will vote on the winner.
The contest drew applicants from Oregon or SW Washington seeking $100,000 to $3 million in investment, with a business plan offering potential for a venture-type return (10X investment within five years). After 12 semifinalists were chosen on Nov. 21, they received 1-on-1 coaching by Oregon Angel Fund prior to the selection of the finalists.

In the Running will be held during Prosper Portland’s athletic and outdoor industry celebration on Dec. 7 from 6-9 p.m. at Terrazign.
