Rigado, a startup formed last year by the combination of businesses in Salem and Portland, said Thursday it has raised $3.3 million in a first round of funding.

The company makes wireless hardware to help companies build a class of connected devices known as the Internet of Things. Rigado said its technology can help clients build wireless devices more quickly and less expensively.
